Acclimation

I'm freezing in the Houston airport and I was cocooned in blankets my flights before here.

This whole "acclimation" thing is only nice when you're in the weather you acclimated to.

Glimpses of the End

Days when teaching has been especially tiring, or it feels like I'm bored and trapped, I long desperately for home.

But then I'm with some of my favorite people, out on the boat in the gorgeousness of Chuuk, laughing over Che and Jace's antics, and I pause.  And I realize.....

I'm going to miss this more than I realized.
